An Invitation to Membership

The non-sectarian Royal St. George’s Society of Halifax has no political or religious affiliation or agenda.  We thrive on new ideas and diversity. For more than 240 years, we have welcomed a cross-section of the city’s, and indeed the provinces, diverse and growing   population and those  who value our traditions of friendship and community commitment.

Members connect with new and old friends at our annual St. George’s Day Roast Beef Dinner Celebration with live music and thought provoking speakers, our Summer Garden Party and other gatherings and events throughout the year.  And, Royal St. George’s  Society members are welcomed at The Scots’ Robbie Burns Night, the Charitable Irish Society’s always lively St. Patrick’s Day feast, and other events through our participation in The Isles Heritage Connection.

A percentage of all dues added to our Charitable Giving Fund. Supporting Member’s receive a full size, hand-signed and completed replica of our original 1809  St. George’s Society membership certificate, as illustrated below.
