Our Mission
Tradition of Community Commitment
The Royal St. George’s Society’s original 1768 mission and bylaws are straight-forward and clear. “All monies and funds (after operating expenses) will be appropriated and used for the (charitable) relief of the indigent and the distressed (and other worthy purposes)”.
That hasn’t changed and we still have a role to play.
Today, we work with and offer practical, meaningful support to a wide range of small, often overlooked, underfunded and under-served but worthy projects and organizations of every stripe community-wide. We actively look for ways to help. If you agree, join us today.
We aim to:
Provide an avenue for recognizing and rewarding success and selflessness in English people, and service to the community wherever English people live.
Uphold and bring together those who keep alive the interests in our English history and traditions.
Celebrate the glorious achievements of English heroes, leaders, sportsmen, and women, artists, and innovators.
Promote the shared cultural values, principles, and heritage of the Commonwealth and of all English speaking peoples.
Encourage high standards: Politeness, courtesy, tolerance, decency and good manners at home and abroad.
Foster, though patriotic pride, self discipline and courage, especially though opportunities for young people.
Undertake projects to further the understanding of English values, heritage, and traditions.
Through its Charitable Trust to provide guidance and sponsorship for young English people, to assist and encourage personal endeavor and leadership.
