An Invitation to Membership

The Royal Saint George’s Society of Halifax has no political or religious agenda or affiliation. We are  non-sectarian, inclusive and thrive on new ideas and diversity. Since our founding in 1768, we have  welcomed a cross-section of  the city’s, and indeed the provinces,  evolving  population and those  who value our traditions of friendship and camaraderie,  good cheer and commitment to  community.

Members  connect with new and old friends at our annual Saint George’s Day Roast Beef Dinner with live music and intriguing  speakers, our Summer Garden Party in Chester,  enjoy casual “Fish-N-Chips” gatherings and assorted other programs and events throughout the year.  PLUS, Royal Saint George’s  members are warmly welcomed at The Scots’ Robbie Burns Night, the Charitable Irish Society’s always lively St. Patrick’s Day feast, and more through our participation in The Isles Heritage Connection.

$20 Single Member;   $30 Family Member; $125.00  Privileged Membership.

A percentage of all dues are assigned to our segregated charitable giving fund.

Membership can be paid by cash or cheque only at the present time. Cheques should be written to Royal Saint George’s Society of Halifax.  We anticipate adding electronic payment methods in the fall of 2026. 

Privileged Member’s receive a hand-signed and completed exact replica of our 1809 Saint George’s Society membership certificate.
